Hey, a trade.
The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired left-hander Adam McCreery from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for cash. The team also designated switch-pitcher Pat Venditte for assignment.
McCreery is a 25-year-old reliever that made his MLB debut in 2018. He was designated for assignment by the Braves following their signing of Josh Donaldson. The left-hander was a 22nd-round pick of the Anaheim Angels in 2014.
Between Double- and Triple-A last season, McCreery finished 2-5 with a 3.62 ERA and 71 strikeouts in 42 appearances (54.2 IP). One thing to note about the new acquisition is his height (6’9″).
As for Venditte, the ambidextrous reliever appeared in 15 games for the Dodgers and finished with a 2.57 ERA. He was often the man brought up from the minors when the team needed an arm.
