Dodgers ‘Emerged’ as Potential Suitor for Reliever David Robertson

As the winter meetings get underway in Las Vegas, expect to hear the Los Angeles Dodgers name a few times.

This time they are linked to a right-handed reliever that could slot into a setup role ahead of Kenley Jansen. Mark Feinsand reports that the Dodgers are a potential suitor the the former New York Yankee.

Robertson appeared in 69 games last season, finishing with a 3.23 ERA, 2.97 FIP and 91 strikeouts in 69.2 innings. He’s thrown at least 60 innings every season since 2010. In that time, the highest ERA he’s finished with was 3.82 in 2010.

The Dodgers are always in the market for relief help, although they’ve done so in recent years without breaking the bank. Other than Kenley Jansen’s five-year, $80M deal, the team has resisted signing a high-profile reliever.

However, with a surplus of relievers on the market this offseason, the Dodgers may use that to get some arms at a less costly price.
