The Los Angeles Dodgers added another pitcher to the injured list. Well, sort of.

Catcher and one-time reliever Russell Martin is going to the 10-day IL with lower back inflammation. Rocky Gale is coming up from OKC to replace him.

Martin missed a couple days in spring training with back soreness. The veteran catcher just started on Monday and played the entire game. Nothing was reported at the time about an injury.

So far this season, the 36-year-old is slashing .333/.500/.600 in five starts behind the plate. He will join Clayton Kershaw, Rich Hill and Hyun-Jin Ryu on the IL, although Kershaw should be activated for his next start.
