Dodgers: Corey Seager and AJ Pollock to Rehab Start Dates Announced

Injured Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager, and outfielder AJ Pollock will begin rehab assignments over the All-Star Break in mid-July.

According to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register, Seager and Pollock have expressed interest into skipping their teammates’ ASG festivities in order to return to the lineup in short order after the break.

The Dodgers have been without Seager since June 13 because of a “grade 1/2 hamstring strain” and have been without Pollock for almost the entire season due to an infection in his elbow.

Seager, who was on a tear prior to his injury, has posted a 119 wRC+ and 2.0 WAR across 66 games. Upon his return, he will provide some more offense as if the Dodgers do not have enough of it.

Pollock, signed to a four-year deal this off-season, posted a 63 wRC+ and -0.3 WAR across 28 games. Pollock should figure into the outfield mix and provides a solid right-handed bat to the lineup.

Both players, were also said to have been playing catch as recent as today without issue. Seager was touched on here.
