During the Dodgers extra innings walk-off win over the Colorado Rockies, notably absent from the game was David Freese. The game featured a few opportunities where he could have been used in a pinch hitting variety.
After the game, manager Dave Roberts said why.
David Freese was unavailable to PH tonight. Knee bothering him. May be headed for injured list.

David Freese missed some time earlier in June with what was called knee tendinitis. Now it seems that it has progressed to a point where he may need to see some time on the injured list.
Some of his teammates have recently been outspoken on the impact he has had on the team this season.
Freese is batting .308 on the season with 8 home runs and 23 RBI. Moreover, he has batted .429 (9-21) as a pinch hitter this season.
