According to Dodgers’ president Stan Kasten, the organization plans to extend netting at Dodger Stadium.
#Dodgers will extend netting to protect fans at Dodger Stadium. Team president Stan Kasten said details are being worked out and an announcement will be made in “the next couple weeks.”https://t.co/IHm8Va0N77

This announcement is long overdue and has become more of a prominent issue within the last few weeks and after the Dodgers dealt with a situation themselves.
On Sunday, Cody Bellinger hit a screaming line drive into the seats along the baseline and was struck in the face. Thankfully, she was fine, but there poses a risk of someone being seriously injured with an absence of extended netting.
From Bill Plunkett’s article, Kasten said the organization has had ongoing discussions since last year when the netting was extended to the far ends of the dugouts.
“I can’t say that for sure, although I think it’s likely,” Kasten said. “For sure, something is going to be done. As for the exact timing, I don’t know that yet.”
This problem has long needed to be solved and it is nice to hear that the Dodgers’ organization is taking it seriously and making the necessary precautions to make sure an event like Sunday never occurs again at Chavez Ravine.
