Dodgers News: Kenley Jansen Taking Health Precautions in Colorado

Dodgers All-Star closer Kenley Jansen is going above and beyond to assure he wont have any health scares at Coors Field. He’s drinking water. A lot of water. And for good reason.

As was prevalent last August, Jansen dealt with some serious heart issues and they flared in Colorado.

After off-season heart surgery, Jansen has been completely healthy with his heart and is taking the necessary precautions to make sure they do not flare up once again in the high altitude.

8 liters of water is a lot. Like a ton.

Jansen was quite humorous saying:

“I’m tired of pissing, believe me.”

Kenley Jansen has been solid thus far in 2019, posting a 3.21 ERA and 0.92 WHIP in 33 2/3 innings in which he has recorded 45 strikeouts. Despite struggles here and there, Jansen remains a top-tier relief arm.

Earlier this season, Jansen continued to cement his legacy as one of the greats in Dodgers history.
