Dodgers Sign Mexican League Outfielder Jon Kemmer

The Dodgers have reached a minor league agreement with outfielder Jon Kemmer of the Mexican League.

Kemmer, 28, was originally drafted by the Houston Astros in the 21st round of the 2013 MLB Draft.

The southpaw outfielder has put together a very solid season in the Mexican League: 21 home runs, 49 runs batted in, and a 167 wRC+ in 58 games.

He has played for the Twins and Astros organizations and reached Triple-A and stayed there from 2016 to 2018. As recently as 2017, Kemmer posted a 142 wRC+ in Triple-A for the Astros.

There is still some upside with Kemmer considering his hot bat and his solid track record.
