Dodgers Top Prospects Named as Futures Game Participants

Top prospects infielder Gavin Lux and right-handed pitcher Dustin May have been announced as participants in the Futures’ Game in Cleveland as part of the Mid-Summer Classic festivities.

Lux and May both received promotions to Triple-A Oklahoma City this week.

Lux, 21, is a current shortstop, but could find his home at second base due to well-documented struggles with the accuracy of his throwing arm. Lux has nonetheless showed out with the bat:

Lux carried an elite .313/.375/.521 slash line at Double-A Tulsa.

May, 21, has yet to make an appearance for Oklahoma City, but carried a 3.74 ERA across 79 1/3 innings at Tulsa, picking up elite marks of a 25.8 K% and a 6.0 BB% along the way.

Lux and May could find their way to Los Angeles within the next 12 months.
