Dodgers News: Relief Pitcher Scott Alexander Dealing With New Injury

Spectrum SportsNetLA anchor Alanna Rizzo provided an update on the health of Dodgers reliever Scott Alexander.

Alexander has been on the injured list since June 11 with forearm inflammation, but the thumb issue adds a new wrinkle to his recovery.

As Rizzo notes, neither injury is considered serious, and he is expected to re-join the Dodgers after the All-Star break.

With Alexander on the IL, and Caleb Ferguson recently optioned to triple-A Oklahoma City, the Dodgers currently has only one left-handed option out of the bullpen.

Alexander has a 3-2 record with a 3.63 ERA in 28 games on the season.
