While the Los Angeles Dodgers have been quite successful throughout the first half of the 2019 season—currently boasting the best record in the entire MLB—they have been hit with a few injury bugs.
Dodgers fans should fear not though as a few of those players seem to be on track to return to the field sooner rather than later.
A.J. Pollock and David Freese scheduled to take live batting practice today at CBR. Corey Seager as well possibly. Freese expected back with #Dodgers this week. Pollock/Seager expected to start rehab assignments “middle to end of this week.”

Manager Dave Roberts provide the update before Sunday’s game. Both David Freese and AJ Pollock faced live pitching at the Dodgers spring training facility on Sunday. Corey Seager was said to also likely be participating.
While Freese is not expected to go on a rehab outing, Pollock and Seager will be heading on an assignment likely this week.
Pollock signed to a four-year $60 million contract this past offseason but had to have right elbow surgery in early May which placed him on the IL.
Before going down, he was batting .233 with two home runs and a .617 OPS.
Seager, who missed almost all of last season due to injury, went down with a “grade 1/2” hamstring strain in early June just as he seemed to be heating up on the offensive end.
In the 17 games before he sustained his injury, Seager was batting .400 with four home runs and 18 RBI.
Freese has been out for a bit shorter than both Pollock and Seager and went on the 10-day IL on June 23 with a left hamstring strain. Freese’s injury was a bit of the blow to the team as he was slashing at .308/.407/.592 before going down.
While the Dodgers would have certainly liked to have each player healthy over the past month, their depth has helped them continue to perform at an extremely high level.
The team will look to continue their dominance as each of these players work towards their respective returns.
