Dodgers: An Update on AJ Pollock and Corey Seager’s Rehab Assignment

As most of the Dodgers are enjoying taking time away from baseball for the All-Star break — save for the ASG participants — two players are still making their way back to the lineup.

Continuing with class-A Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday night, Corey Seager and AJ Pollock each saw a few innings on the field.

Seager went 0-2 at the plate with a strikeout and a fly out. He also had a line drive tip off his glove in the first inning, but otherwise had zero chances in his 2 innings in the field.

Pollock went 0-3 with a strikeout, a ground out, and a fly out. He played into the 6th inning, fielding two hits, but getting no chances.

Our Tim Rogers caught some of the action over the weekend, so be sure to check that action here.

Roster Outlook

As Seager and Pollock make their way back to the active roster, the Dodgers already took some steps to create space for them today as they optioned two players to triple-A Oklahoma City, and activated David Freese from the 10-day IL.

The 25-man roster is expected to be close to full strength by the time the season resumes against the Boston Red Sox on Friday.
