Rich Hill hasn’t touched the mound since his shortened June 19th start due to a forearm injury. The 39-year old veteran was initially on the 10-day IL and shortly after then transferred to the 60-day IL.
Rich Hill will begin throwing the baseball on Thursday in Philadelphia. 60 feet toss. Plan is to do that for 2 weeks and progress. September is the target for Hill to return. #Dodgers

According to David Vassegh, the Dodgers are still eyeing a September return for Rich Hill. As he continues to travel with the team, Hill will work on his progression. The plan is to start throwing from 60 feet next Thursday in Philadelphia.
Slowly but surely, the southpaw Hill will make short strides towards a comeback. Ross Stripling has temporarily taken over Rich’s spot in the rotation. No need to rush Rich Hill back to the rotation. The Dodgers will need his arm towards the end of the season as the make their way into yet another playoff race.
