The Dodgers wrapped up a series in Philadelphia on Thursday afternoon that ended in an unfortunate series split. The two teams got into it a few times along the way, with plenty of home runs and trash-talking.
In Tuesday’s game, Phillies closer Hector Neris got the sparks flying between the two teams. After Matt Beaty launched a three-run shot off of Neris to give the Dodgers the lead, Neris planted a 95-mph fastball right in the middle of David Freese’s back. Neris was immediately tossed and the Dodgers were not happy with the Phillies’ pitcher.

Neris will appeal three-game suspension from Major League Baseball, which is why he was able to pitch in Thursday’s game. Neris furthered his poor reputation with the Dodgers by going off once he locked down the save in the final game.
Hector Neris turned to Dodgers dugout yelled an F-Bomb. Team wasn’t happy with that.

Just a reminder: Hector Neris has not pitched well against Los Angeles in his career. In 12 appearances, he has allowed 7 home runs to the tune of an 8.49 ERA.
