Dodgers top prospect Gavin Lux started at second base for the first time at Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday night.
Roberts said recent play of C Will Smith, INF Gavin Lux and OF DJ Peters at OKC is "making our jobs more difficult and intriguing," but gave no indication of an imminent call-up for any of them. Lux, a left-handed hitting SS like Corey Seager, started at 2B Friday night.

Manager Dave Roberts yesterday touched on the fact that what Lux has been doing at isn’t going unnoticed. Today at Dodger Stadium, he admitted that most of the OKC lineup is on his mind, as well as the front office.
[They’re] making out jobs more difficult and intriguing.
On top of the Los Angeles front office, just about every front office in baseball is taking notice, ahead of the trade deadline.
Focusing on Lux, his natural position is at shortstop but obviously he is blocked by Corey Seager at the big league level. Moreover, while he has started at second base 66 times before in the minor leagues — including 6 times at Double-A this season — Friday’s start may be the most telling of his immediate future.
Lux has been setting the world on fire at Triple-A and is now the 11th-ranked prospect according to Fangraphs prospect gurus Kiley McDaniel and Eric Longenhagen.
On Saturday, Lux is back in at shortstop which is fairly interesting, but checking Lux’s position in the coming weeks is a good idea as to see what the plan may be for him.
He very well could contribute down the stretch similarly to what Corey Seager did for the Dodgers in 2015.
