According to Jake Kaplan of The Athletic, corner infielder Tyler White is on his way to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Tyler White, recently DFA’d by the Astros, is headed to the Dodgers, sources tell The Athletic. Unclear if it’s via trade or a waiver claim.

MLB Network insider Mark Feinsand added that the Dodgers sent pitching prospect Andre Scrubb in exchange. Scrubb is a 24-year-old reliever at Double-A Tulsa and holds a 2.45 ERA across 47 2/3 innings of work in 2019.
Coming into the year, White was expected to show out after posting a 144 wRC+ in 2018. This move is very interesting and the Dodgers believe they have something here. White has not been the same hitter this year, posting just an 81 wRC+ in 71 games.
Last season, White held a 176 wRC+ against southpaws and should he be able to get back to that, this could be a huge boon for the Dodgers against left-handed pitching.
