Former major league left-hander Edward Paredes has been loaned to the Guerreros de Oaxaca of the Mexican League.

Paredes held a career 4.50 ERA in 16 major league innings in which he struck out 19 batters. The 32-year-old was a part of the Mariners, Angels, and Dodgers systems but only managed to reach the majors as a situational lefty for the Dodgers.
He was biding his time in Double-A Tulsa this season, only throwing 6 2/3 innings with a 6.75 ERA. This is a move that seems to be a good one for both parties.
Paredes always seemed to have a pretty decent slider but did not have the rest of repertoire to back it up.
It would not be surprising to see Paredes back up in the minor league ranks in the future.
