Dodgers News: Ross Stripling Placed on IL, Jaime Schultz Recalled

Dodgers starter Ross Stripling is reportedly not making his scheduled start on Tuesday due to biceps tendinitis which he sustained in his last start and has been placed on the IL.

Whether or not Strip was bound to make his next start has been up in the air all week, but it appears that we finally have an answer. There has been no official word yet that Stripling would be placed on the IL, but it appears likely at this juncture. The Dodgers have reportedly recalled RHP Jaime Schultz from Triple-A Oklahoma City as the corresponding roster move.

Stripling, 29, is having a solid year and is currently the Dodgers’ number five starter. He is posting just over a strikeout per inning, a 3.64 ERA, and allowing just an 81st-percentile xwOBA on the year.

Schultz, 28, was acquired earlier this year from the Tampa Bay Rays and has thrown three scoreless innings at the big-league level for the Dodgers in 2019.
