Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register mentioned in a blurb that the Dodgers will be activating right-handed reliever Dylan Floro from the 10-day injured list at some point during their 3-game series with the Colorado Rockies.
The reliever was expected to make a second rehab appearance for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, but instead he will join the team in Colorado. He made one appearance for the Single-A Quakes and pitched a scoreless inning, working around 2 hits, and a hit batter.

After opening the season as one of baseball’s best relief options, Floro has struggled to the tune of a 8.15 ERA since May 11 while allowing 50% of inherited runners to score. Many point to a May 22 outing in Tampa Bay as the true beginning of his unwravelling. Nevertheless, he remains an important piece of the Dodgers bullpen, at least ahead of Wednesday’s trade deadline.
Originally picked up by Los Angeles from the Cincinnati Reds last July – July 4th, to be exact — the groundball pitcher has accumulated a 7-4 record, with a 3.02 ERA in 66 games in blue.
With the Dodger pitching staff being somewhat depleted, and the rookie Tony Gonsolin expected to make his second career start on Tuesday in Colorado, the time table assuredly moved up for Floro, even if he wasn’t 100% ready.
