The Dodgers remain ‘in’ on multiple bullpen pieces, according to both Jon Morosi of MLB Network and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
Rosenthal Talks Edwin Diaz

Inside, here is the quote pertaining to the Dodgers:
The Dodgers, Red Sox, Rays, Braves and Padres are among the teams showing interest in the 25-year-old closer Edwin Diaz, who even in a down season remains a standout due to a scarcity of available elite relievers.
Diaz holds a 4.95 ERA this season, a far cry from what kind of year he had last year for the Seattle Mariners. Diaz is no stranger to being traded, going alongside Robinson Cano to New York for top prospects Justin Dunn and Jarred Kelenic.
Morosi Links Vazquez and Greene
Morosi provides a little more insight that was outlined below:
Sources: #Dodgers likely to add a reliever by tomorrow afternoon, as they continue discussions on #Pirates closer Felipe Vazquez and #Tigers closer Shane Greene, among others. @MLB @MLBNetwork
— Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) July 30, 2019
Felipe Vazquez and Shane Greene are two names that the Dodgers have been linked to frequently over the past few weeks and it remains possible that the club acquires not just one, but both.
Vazquez remains one of the best left-handed relievers in baseball and is not a free agent until 2024 with team-friendly options for 2022 and 2023. Greene is having a career year and is not a free agent until 2021, so he would be in the back-end of the Dodgers’ pen next year as well.
The MLB Trade Deadline is on Wednesday at 1pm PST, 4pm EST.
