Dodgers To Simulcast Additional 5 Games on KTLA

In regards to the Dodgers being broadcast on local television in Los Angeles, it’s always a touchy subject. Therefore, this post should come as a piece of good news for everyone.

Spectrum Networks announced today it will simulcast an additional five Dodgers games on local broadcast station KTLA 5 this season. Bill Shaikin released a tweet that detailed the five games.

From the official press release:

The five-game schedule will feature all Saturday games, beginning August 31 when the Dodgers visit the Diamondbacks, and conclude with an afternoon contest against the San Francisco Giants on September 28 for the club’s final Saturday game of the regular season. The schedule will also feature a home matchup against the Giants on September 7, a road game vs. the New York Mets on September 14, and a matchup vs. the Colorado Rockies on September 21.

Furthermore, KTLA 5 will also air SportsNet LA’s flagship pregame show; Access Sportsnet: Dodgers before every simulcast game.

Equally important, these games occur down a stretch run in which the Dodgers will be looking for a clinch of yet another division title. We are quickly approaching the time of year where the cement hardens, and you see what a team will be rolling with in October should they qualify.

Kudos to the network for finding a way to get more baseball in front of more eyes this time of year. Let’s all hope that this becomes a pattern.
