Dodgers and Cardinals to Play Exclusive YouTube Game

On Wednesday, August 7, the final game of the Dodgers’ season series against the St. Louis Cardinals will be available exclusively on YouTube, according to Dodgers beat writer Ken Gurnick.

The Dodgers recently played a game against the Philadelphia Phillies on July 18, which you can read about here.

The game is at 12:10 PT and will be called by former major leaguers Nomar Garciaparra and Jason Marquis. Rich Waltz will be on the play-by-play with Alanna Rizzo doing her typical work for the game.

Tomorrow’s game comes in a series of YouTube exclusive broadcasts, with the Anaheim Angels and Detroit Tigers last matching up on July 29. There will be a total of 13 YouTube broadcasts across baseball and the Dodgers are the first team to have two of them.

YouTube is doing a fantastic job by getting the Dodgers involved with this considering that a great amount of Dodger fans are still unable to watch games that are not nationally televised. The game can be found at youtube.com/mlb

The game should be a good one with budding ace Jack Flaherty taking the hill for the St. Louis Cardinals opposite Dustin May for the Dodgers, who will be making the second start of his big league career.
