Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has reportedly apologized to Diamondbacks left-handed pitcher Robbie Ray, who was the starting pitcher on Friday night opposite Walker Buehler.
#Dodgers Dave Roberts said he reached out to DBacks Robbie Ray and apologized for his behavior at the end of the game last night. Roberts said he mistook Ray (in shorts and T-shirt) for a staffer coming onto the field.

After a dust up that involved right-hander Archie Bradley of the Diamondbacks in addition to outfielder AJ Pollock and manager Dave Roberts, Roberts mistook Ray for a Diamondbacks staffer.
Roberts was agitated by a D-back wearing shorts on the field. It was pitcher Robbie Ray.

The reason for this is because Ray was wearing shorts, most likely because he changed out of his clothes when he was taken out of the game after his start. Ray was chirping at Roberts loudly during the benches-clearing event and Roberts stated audibly on the Sports Net LA broadcast:
“Who are you?”
The mishap was pretty comical all-in-all and it should be an interesting affair for the next two games considering Friday night was the first game of the series.
The entire escapade was even more dramatic considering the premise was regarding AJ Pollock on an obviously missed call by both the on-field umpires as well as New York’s replay review. The reason AJ Pollock’s involvement is interesting is because Pollock was a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks just nine months ago, a teammate of Archie Bradley.
At the end of the day, good on Dave Roberts for apologizing to Robbie Ray.
