Dodgers Will Use Dustin May and Tony Gonsolin in the Bullpen This Weekend

The Dodgers are going to have a little bit of help in the bullpen this weekend in Atlanta. Dave Roberts confirmed that Dustin May and Tony Gonsolin will both likely be used in relief roles this weekend against the Braves.

The two young right-handers have brought new life to a starting rotation that was hit by the injury bug and could be a huge addition to the bullpen. There are plenty of people that believe this will actually be an audition of sorts for relief roles available in the playoffs.

Dustin May has pitched in three games for the Dodgers, throwing a combined 17 innings to the tune of a 2.56 era. He has struck out 15 and walked just two. Tony Gonsolin got a rude welcome in his debut but has since been dominant. He has tossed a combined ten innings and allowed just one earned run since his first big league start.

Dave Roberts gave his thoughts on Dustin May in particular in an interview this afternoon and later confirmed Tony Gonsolin as well.
