Davis is throwing the first pitch in response to Kenley Jansen’s invitation a few weeks back:
California Love. @Lakers, we’re ready for Lakers Night. But first, @kenleyjansen74 has a message for @AntDavis23. pic.twitter.com/PRBJCBV20i

After the video was released on the Dodgers Twitter account, Kenley Jansen took to Twitter to try and get Anthony Davis to throw the first pitch on the Dodger Stadium’s annual Lakers Night.
first pitch @AntDavis23 you in?

Being a good sport about it, Davis responded a few minutes later:
You already know! I’m throwing heat!!

Anthony Davis, often referred to as “The Brow” is a six-time NBA All-Star and averaged 25.9 points and 12.0 rebounds last season for the New Orleans Pelicans. He will join LeBron James in an effort to bring a championship to Los Angeles for the first time in awhile. Who will do it first? The Lakers or the Dodgers?
Davis is simply the next man up in a long line of recent Lakers rookies or stars to throw out ceremonial first pitches. Recent Lakers to take the hill have included Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball, who were actually the two primary pieces sent to New Orleans to bring Davis to Los Angeles.
Let’s hope the NBA big man can throw the heat and not be a 50 Cent with the ceremonial first pitch and one of his first big showcases in front of Los Angeles.
