Casey Sadler is recalled, as Dylan Floro (intercostal strain) goes to the injured list. Sadler returns to the bullpen and looks to build on his impressive resume. Floro heads back to IL, after returning from the 10-day IL, due to the same injury. Now, he will likely be held out longer, until he is fully healthy to return.

Floro pitched an inning last night against the Toronto Blue Jays, after recently returning from the IL. He threw a scoreless inning in the 9th inning, as the Dodgers cruised past the Blue Jays, 16-3. So far, Floro has a 4-3 record, with a 3.89 ERA, in 39 games pitched. However, he has not been able to remain healthy, as he’s back on the IL now, and Casey Sadler has been called back up to the Major League.
Sadler has been very impressive in his 9 appearances with the Dodgers. He’s had 12.1 IP, 1 ER, and 8 K. He has a whopping ERA of 0.73, as well as allowing 0 HR. The Dodgers bullpen was looking good when Sadler was on the Major League roster. This is an excellent opportunity for him to prove to manager Dave Roberts, that he’s the player they want to trust coming in from the bullpen, during the postseason.
