Dodgers: Joc Pederson Leaves Game After Crashing into Wall

Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson came out of the game on Monday night at Dodger Stadium after crashing into the short fence in the right field corner. He saved a home run on the play, but immediately went down to the ground and stayed there while the LA training staff came to tend to him.

SportsNet LA anchor Alanna Rizzo accounts the scene in this tweet.

As she notes, Pederson got up and was able to walk off the field under his own power. At first glance, you think he at least got the wind knocked out of him, but he was seen grabbing his right rib area.

He had been in the middle of a power surge with 3 home runs and a double in his previous 4 at-bats spanning two days and two ballparks. That power surge came from a little help from former Dodger Andre Ethier.

This report will be updated as more information becomes available.
