Dodgers Walker Buehler Goes As Ferris Bueller For Halloween

Since early into Walker Buehler’s MLB career, he has really leaned into his nickname. “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” (for those who were raised by animals and were deprived as children) is a classic John Hughes film from 1986. It looks Walker and his girlfriend McKenzie went as Ferris Bueller and the characters girlfriend, Sloan Peterson (no relation to Joc.)

They Say He’s A Righteous Dude

The costumes are spot on. Between the two toned leather jacket and the leopardish sweater vest, Walker Buehler is spot on. McKenzie absolutely nails the look of Sloan down to the iconic white fringe jacket. Considering the film is now over 30 years old, Walker and McKenzie nailed the fashion from the film.

Life Moves Pretty Fast

It is amusing that Walker Buehler has leaned into this nickname in his few short years as a member of the Dodgers. After all, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off was released eight years before Walker Buehler was even born. It can be assumed Walker Buehler or even his family have leaned into the nickname, too. There’s no doubt that Dodger fans love this and will continue to love it as Walker Buehler’s career progresses. It is nice to lean into these things as a busy athlete, because as well know: life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop to look around once in a while, you could miss it.
