Dodgers: Chris Taylor Provides Update on His Neck Injury

The Dodgers have some headaches to deal with prior to the postseason and one of them is the health of Chris Taylor. Taylor currently is dealing with a neck injury that made him a late scratch in Saturday’s game against the Rockies.

The fear with Taylor is not whether he will miss postseason games, but how much of the postseason he will miss. Taylor however decided to give his own update on his injury.

It’s a good sign if Taylor feels good, but ultimately it will be up to the team doctors to decide whether he’s ready to go out and how patient Dave Roberts will be with him. To make matters tougher, Taylor still has struggled for the greater part of the past two months.

Over the season, Taylor has batted a .221 with 10 home runs and 43 RBI’s. A nagging neck injury along with a foot injury he had to overcome during the season has only made things harder for Taylor.

Roberts had become less patient with Taylor with his batting struggles, but yet Taylor remained a true professional of the game. Unfortunately for an outfield position while struggling behind the plate, a neck injury only makes things that much more difficult.
