Dodgers: Fans Take To Poll and Give Freddie Freeman Edge Over Goldschmidt in MVP Voting

First in hits, second in batting average, second in on base percentage and first in doubles warrants MVP considerations for any player. This is exactly what Freddie Freeman ended the season with and he was even one point away from winning the NL batting title.

Freeman needed to go 4-for-4 in his final game of the season. Unfortunately he went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI’s.

The efforts didn’t go unnoticed as a more dominant group of Dodgers fans still believe Freeman deserves NL MVP honors.

Freeman currently has received nearly 70 percent of the votes with Paul Goldschmidt currently sitting at about 26 percent. Freeman won the votes but it doesn’t take away from the level Goldschmidt has been playing all season long.

Even if you’re a Dodgers fan you respect greatness. Goldschmidt currently third in batting average, fourth in RBI’s but is also tied for eighth in home runs. A skill set that isn’t apart of Freeman’s forte may be the deciding factor of who will win the NL MVP.

The accolades keep coming for Freeman, but he will be the first to admit that nothing will be sweeter than winning the World Series at the end of the season. It remains to be seen if Freeman will add another MVP to his resumé but Dodgers fans spoke loudly of Freeman and believe they know the answer of who will win the award.
