What Keeps Dodgers Fans Anxious About the Postseason?

Now, we’re all well aware of how dominant the Dodgers have been this 2022 season. The team set a new franchise record of 111-51, led the league for the lowest team ERA of 2.80, and scored the most runs (847) amongst all 30 teams. But all that means nothing if they can’t finish the season with a ring.

We asked fans what they’re most worried about going into the postseason and here are some of the responses.

We’ve seen this happen a few times this season where our pitching staff puts out a phenomenal performance yet the Dodgers’ offense is just unable to make contact with the ball.

For example, in Anderson’s latest performance where he produced 10 strikeouts across his 6 innings, he still collected a loss because the bats failed to show up.

So, I agree. When the Dodgers are on, they’re absolutely terrifying, especially through the top of their lineup led by All-Stars Mookie Betts, Trea Turner, and Freddie Freeman.

This is also a valid concern as the Dodgers have still yet to name who their closer will be for the postseason after demoting Craig Kimbrel. Could Roberts change his mind and bring the experienced pitcher back or does he plan to utilize players like Treinen and May who are just returning from some injuries?

But then, you also have fans who have full faith that their team will come out on top and get their perfect ending to an incredible season.

The Dodgers have put in the work and have proved they’re the team to beat this October but they’ll just have to make sure to take it one game at a time, inning by inning and not get sloppy or gassed out by the end such as last year.
