Dodgers vs Padres NLDS Game 1: Latest Betting Odds, Predictions and Picks for October 11

Nearly a month after the Dodgers clinched the National League West, tonight they will finally be playing a game that matters. After taking five days to rest, recharge, and reset, Los Angeles will take on the Padres in the NL Division Series beginning this evening at Dodger Stadium.

Julio Urias will take the mound for the Dodgers, having earned the role of number-one starter by virtue of an outstanding regular season that saw him go 17-7 with an NL-best 2.16 ERA. He was even better in the second half, going 9-1 with a 1.26 ERA since the All-Star break.

Urias faced the Padres four times this season, going 3-0 with 1.50 ERA in 24 innings pitched. Three of the four runs he allowed to San Diego came on solo home runs, something to keep an eye on tonight.

The Padres counter with Mike Clevinger, having used their top three starting pitchers to get through the Mets in the Wild Card Series. The once-formidable Clevinger had a pretty lousy season for San Diego, posting a 4.33 ERA in 114.1 innings. His season was kind of the opposite of Urias’s, as he fell off severely in the second half, posting a 4.90 ERA after the All-Star break.

Clevinger faced the Dodgers three times this season, going 0-2 with a 9.69 ERA in 13 innings. All three of those starts came in August and September.
