Dodgers vs Padres NLDS Game 2: Latest Betting Odds, Predictions and Picks for October 12

The Dodgers won Game 1 of the NLDS behind some early offense and a lot of outstanding relief pitching, winning for the 15th time in 20 games against San Diego this year. They’ll try to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the series this evening at Dodger Stadium.

Clayton Kershaw will take the mound for Los Angeles. Kershaw started twice against the Padres this season, going 1-0 with one run allowed and 11 strikeouts in 12 innings. Kersh made seven starts after returning from the injured list in early September, going 5-0 with a 1.54 ERA and 49 strikeouts in 41 innings. Overall on the season, the future Hall of Famer was 12-3 with a 2.28 ERA.

On the mound for San Diego will be former Dodger Yu Darvish, who has been the Padres’ ace this season. Darvish went 16-8 with a 3.10 ERA overall, and 1-2 with a 2.52 ERA in three starts against Los Angeles. The Dodgers got to Darvish for five runs in six innings on July 2, and you have to imagine they’ve been watching film of that game to try to replicate that approach.
